South Carolina's Cravin' Melon

Cravin' Melon, a four piece, electrified-acoustic band from South
Carolina, has just signed a multi-album deal with Mercury Records,
said to be one of the most lucrative ever offered by Mercury to a
new artist. The band is comprised of J.J. Bowers, bass; Rick
Reames, drums; Jimbo Chapman, guitar, and features the soulful,
southern vocals of Doug Jones along with Chapman to create a lush
vocal harmony. Since forming, they have rapidly expanding their
fan-base, attracting attention well beyond the South with an
infectious mixture of acoustic and electric music. In a very short
time the band became a headline artist, drawing capacity crowds at
many of the large venues in the Southeast, as well…
