So far, books on pub signs, illustrated by monochrome and a few
colour plates, have served an enduring and widespread interest.
Now for the first time, STANLEY CHEW'S PUB SIGNS will allow the
public to own a collection of copies of Britain's most stunning
signs in all their glorious, original colours. Twelve themes are
illustrated with full-page colour plates, each complemented by two
more colour prints and a line drawing of a pub. In total, there
are 66 colour prints and black and white line drawings, reproduced
entirely from high-quality photographs, taken by the artist
