TOM experimental mediator for document conversions, services

A demonstration of a Web "mediator" which offers extended,
"object-oriented" services for Web documents can be found at
http://tom.cs.cmu.edu/cgi-bin/browse/objweb/ You can go there,
enter a URL to browse, and then view pages through the mediator.
For many kinds of Web documents, you'll be offered various of
attributes, operations, and conversions for the particular kind of
document you're viewing. For example, with an HTML document, you
can (as always) browse through the links. Or you can verify the
document's conformance to the HTML 2.0 standard or the proposed
3.0 standard, see what the document looks like without tables (so
you can see how some browsers may show it), or convert the HTML…
