CEC Certification for Electronic Commerce is a service for parties
who wish to have court-admissible evidence related to contracts
formed electronically. CEC provides evidence of transmission and
reception of E-mail or Fax messages, without need for encryption
or hi-tech methods. CEC certifies messages for authenticity and
integrity using familiar and trusted low-tech approaches, without
requiring the creation of elaborate in-house or out-sourced audit
trails. E-Mail or FAX messages certified by CEC should be accepted
by courts as evidence having the same weight as traditional
letters.
