This site is a software and directory service from PersonalNet
that lets you chat with other Internet users in private text-based
conversations. Unlike IRC (Internet Relay Chat) and most other
chat packages, this program searches for the target user's current
IP address and establishes a direct link; it is even able to
handle dynamically changing addresses. This cuts out the need for
an intermediate server the usual cause of net lag. The package
also allows users to search for others on the Net by name,
company, or e-mail address, even if the targeted user is not
logged in at the time of query. A FAQ and technical information on
the package are available; users can download the program to test
it before registering for complete service.
