This site is the online contact point to Environmental Systems
Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI), and it contains a lot of
information about what's current in the world of geographical
information systems (GIS). There is a catalog of books and
publications, with several titles on GIS; a catalog of images made
by ESRI customers and developers that displays ESRI software
capabilities; and a "WorldData" map you can download that displays
country boundaries, major world rivers and lakes, and cities, all
showing coordinates. This map is compatible with ArcView: GIS
Software for Windows. It is available in the Free section;
instructions are provided. This page is easy to navigate as
choices are available all the time in a menu bar.
