Carnegie Corporation of New York is a grant-funding foundation
created by Andrew Carnegie in 1911 to promote the advancement and
diffusion of knowledge and understanding. Grants must primarily
benefit the people in the U.S., although some of the funds may be
used to benefit the people of countries that are members of the
British Commonwealth. This Web site includes information about the
Carnegie Corporation, how to submit a proposal for funding, grant
restrictions, and contact information. A description of the
corporation's four currently supported programs, each with a
number of sub-areas for research, is also included.
