Portico: the British Library's Online Information Server

Portico, the British Library's Online Information Server features
two services: a pilot Web server and a gopher server. The system
boasts over a million transactions. It provides a guide to the
library's events, services, and collections housed at this site.
Users can access an overview of the library's Digitisation and
Networking Projects and the Portico guide to resources on the
World Wide Web, as well as link to the Consortium of European
Research Libraries and Gabriel, an information server for Europe's
National Libraries.
