The Australian Geological Survey Organization (AGSO) Web site has
links to pages on the environment, geology, geophysics,
groundwater, minerals, and petroleum. On the geology page, you can
look up stratigraphic names in Australia, which are explained
further in the text, which is accompanied by examples. A
successful search returns technical notes about a geological site
or formation; some have links to related files. The geology site
also lists AGSO ongoing projects and research, and images of the
Australian continent, including a gravity anomaly map, magnetic
map, and digital elevation model, all of which can be enlarged.
