Association of American Geographers

Those interested in geography will be pleased to know that one of
the field's longstanding associations has a Web site. Founded in
1904, the Washington, D.C.-based Association of American
Geographers (AAG) has 7,200 members. There are nine regional
membership divisions and 43 specialty groups, covering such topics
as specific countries and places, people and culture, and
environmental zones and processes. The AAG also holds annual and
regional meetings in addition to publishing its professional
journals. The home page has limited information about geography,
functioning more as an extended directory for the society and its
members. Contact information includes an AAG Staff Directory,
which includes Internet addresses.The association's members may
also subscribe to one of two professional journals:
