Southeast Regional Climate Cente

The Southeast Regional Climate Center (SERCC) is housed within the
Water Resources Division of the South Carolina Department of
Natural Resources in Columbia, South Carolina. The purpose of the
program is to provide pertinent climate data and information to
public and private users in the region they cover. The SERCC
serves Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina,
Virginia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This site
delivers data, products, and services in climate forecasting and
research. In the Educational Resources section of this site,
educators will find a newsletter containing activities and
resources. Students can link to the The Climate Interactive Rapid
Retrieval System, to observe and analyze the weather on a daily
basis and to enhance their understanding of their environment.
