Planetary Coral Reef Foundation

The Planetary Coral Reef Foundation (PCRF) is a nonprofit group
founded by the same people who developed the well-known Biosphere
2 project in the American Southwest. The purpose of the PCRF is to
further the study of coral reefs and measure their impact on a
planetary scale. These reefs, which provide crucial chemical and
biological resources, have suffered extensive and increasing
damage in recent years, due both to the effects of environmental
phenomena such as El Niño and to various forms of industrial and
commercial pollution. Visitors to this site will find information
on the PCRF activities, current location of research vessels, and
a plea for contributions of money, equipment, and expertise.
