This Web site, maintained by the office of the Florida Attorney
General, offers guides to more than 75 scams, schemes, and cons.
Some of the information is geographically specific to the area
surrounding Florida (for example, the article "Price Gouging After
a Hurricane" discusses Florida legislation following Hurricane
Andrew), but you'll find most of the information to be relevant no
matter where you live. This site should serve as a model for the
Attorneys General of other states, most of whom do not provide
such good information and support on the Net.
