Medical Shareware Site

The University of Texas Medical School at Houston has put together
a shareware collection for the biomedical disciplines. The
software is arranged alphabetically by Mac and MS-DOS. There is a
fairly good index that tells the size of the programs, their
purpose, and the date they were last modified. Examples of the
programs available include biochemistry practice exams, selection
of antibiotics program, clinical decision analysis tutorial, and a
genealogy information management program. Another feature at this
site is the Microsoft Help files of the JFP Journal Club, which
are designed to assist primary-care physicians in deciding whether
the results of research should change the way they practice, and
to provide material for Journal Clubs in general residency
programs.
