IPL: the Internet Public Library
================================

The Internet Public Library is a special project at the University
of Michigan that is a virtual public library without a physical
antecedent. It is dedicated to providing services and information
to libraries, librarians, and information professionals by
complementing their work through the use of the Internet. This
site houses an interactive forum in which librarians and
information professionals can share their knowledge and
experiences with colleagues. This site houses such divisions as
library services, a youth division, a reference division, an
exhibit hall, and a reading room. Users can find information about
on-the-job resources, reviews, weekly features, libraries, and
technology. Through the use of moos, users can gather together,
talk, and provide reference services. In the Youth section, users
will find "Dr. Internet," a place to explore math and science fun
and facts on the Internet.
