The MathWorks Web site is a commercial Web site that offers
information about MATLAB and SIMULINK. MATLAB, which stands for
"matrix laboratory," is a software program that allows you to
conduct high-performance numeric computation and scientific
visualization of problems. MATLAB integrates numerical analysis,
matrix computation, signal processing, and graphics in an
easy-to-use environment where problems and solutions are expressed
just as they are written mathematically without traditional
programming. SIMULINK is a tool for modeling, analyzing, and
simulating an extraordinarily wide variety of physical and
mathematical systems, including those with nonlinear elements and
those which make use of continuous and discrete time. There are
some product demonstrations using MPEG video clips, and some
product brochures are illustrated using Adobe Acrobat PDF files
(which you can view by downloading the free Acrobat reader).
