"I started this BBS in high school in 1994 and ran it until a
catastrophic hardware failure in early 1997. We were a member of
Fidonet and Echonet and also the founder of ShizNet... at our peak
we had 15 nodes spread across Michigan and Ohio. Lots of wares,
apps, and door games. I always felt bad that the board basically
vanished when the computer it ran on crashed. I had tape backups
that, like many tape backups, proved to be completely worthless.
So I'd like to thank everyone that made it what it was over those
couple of years - the local callers and the ShizNet folks were
