"Originally written in BASIC line by line, Comline operated on a
Commodore 64 with no floppy drive. This meant I could never turn
off the computer because it would erase all users and messages. I
eventually got a floppy drive and merged the users in a single
sequential (not random) file. I was quite proud of that user file
coding because no id # was required for login. I eventually
released Termline, a terminal program for Commodore 64 users
complete with buffers, x and z modem protocols, and quick
