"I started this on an IBM PS/2 Model 30 (x286) running a 1200 baud
modem and a 20MB hard disk. I registered the WWIV software for $50
I think, and started doing mods -- my first foray into C at 11
years old. I can't really remember what I hosted on the BBS, I
think it was mostly games and ASCII graphics and a few message
boards. Upgraded to Hayes 2400 baud modem after a year. Good
