"The Texas Instruments Users Group of The Boston Computer Society.
The 'TI Twins' as some called them, were twin TI99/4A's that ran
TI-BBS on two separate lines in the town of Weymouth, MA, in the
1980's. 1984: twin TI-BBS systems begin operation in Weymouth, MA,
Line #1 is at 617-331-4181 and Line #2 is at 617-335-8475. (Wonder
Twin Powers... Activate!) . 1990: Line #2 is dropped. (Wonder Twin
Powers... Deactivate!) . 1991: board at 617-331-4181 switches to
Telegard host software, the only software at that time that could
support the forty-column TI99/4A. 1992: board begins FidoNET
networking as node 1:101/610, sharing the B.C.S. echomail message
bases. (The TI99/4A had quite a nice little graphics chip
co-processor. If you tried to print to the screen the CPU was slow
as molasses; write to the buffer with a graphics call and zap!)" -
