"Generic BBS first ran on a C=64 with a homemade program that was
adapted from a Coco BBS that was running at the time. 300 BAUD
modem ($800+ for 1200 BAUD at the time...) Later it switched to an
IBM using TriBBS and a 2400 BAUD modem. One of the main goals for
the system was to be as simple to use and friendly conversations.
Generic BBS was also home to the most comprehensive and accurate
