Viper's Pit

"Loved running Viper's Pit! I was one of very few women at the
time who had their own board, and I don't doubt that was why I had
so many users!:) I started running it on a rented 286 with a 24
meg hard drive, and a 1200 baud modem. You could go make a
sandwich and grab a drink in the amount of time it would take
those opening ANSI graphics to load! Lol. I remember everything
about it though. From the opening screen that said "When it's late
at night and you feel the hunger... Viper's Pit", to the way my
computer would blast "Enter Sandman" whenever somebody summoned
the sysop to chat. To this day I remember the usernames of so many
people, and am close friends with many of them. We lived in a
special time, BBS time, and people today will never understand the
camaraderie, and how you really felt like you were part of
something special, something secret. :)" - Viper
