computer after getting my first modem (2400 baud) and finding
other boards like "The Great Beyond" and "The Squawk Box" and
having so much fun with it. At some point, I found out about a
Zoom promo that allowed SysOps to buy a 14.4 modem for a special
price and I jumped on it. Although I had to pay for the extra
phone line myself, I'm so grateful to my parents for being open to
allowing me to do this, which really helped shape my whole
