         | Not everyone benefited. Market globalism wasn't particularly
         | kind to the global south, and the specific mandates that the
         | WTO enacted on countries in latin america / africa (Washington
         | Consensus) greatly increased local wealth disparities despite
         | visibly growing GDP for a time.
