Show HN: Cursor Directory - From a 3-hour build to a 250k users/mo
community
Viktor and I built the first version of Cursor Directory in just 3
hours, right after I watched a few downloaded YouTube videos on my
flight to France. The idea was simple: create a single place to
find curated rules to enhance the Cursor experience. Fast forward
a few months, and the site kept growing. We recently added support
for MCPs, a Trending board, the ability to generate your own rules
from dependencies, and more! We'd love to hear your thoughts--let
us know if you have any ideas to make Cursor Directory even better!
Oh, and we're fully open source!

| This is great! I've been using Cursor Directory pretty much since
| it's inception a few months ago and it's great to see it come
| this far this quickly. Will be diving into the code, kudos on
| making it OS!

| Would love to see a blog and maybe some documentation as to how

| Have also used it since day one. Impressive to see what it has

| Sorry, I am a noob here and just learning to use cursor. How do

| You can copy one of the rules or just use the download button
| and place it in .cursor/rules directory!

| Last time I used Cursor - a few weeks back - .cursor/rules was
| still very flaky (for me, and apparently for a ton of people on
| the forum) and poorly-documented. Anyone know if they've managed
| to iron it all out yet? I really love the idea but ime the
| execution was severely lacking. I ended up cancelling my
| subscription in frustration.
