         | logarithms (as is explained in the linked PDF).

         | probably many others here) would never imagine that there was a
         | figurative way to do this. I should add, carbon paper is not

       | powers, logarithms and exponents, and trig functions

       | force of the most important analog calculator this article didn't
       | cover: the human calculator. ;)
