| My wife got stitched up after childbirth too tightly due to an
| inexperienced FEMALE doctor. We were both conscious, both
| present, my wife was lucid (and exhausted).
|
| Now all sex is painful and there hasn't been actual penetration
| for 7 months since the little one was born.

| No one from our caucasian circles have even heard about it.

| There is no practise. The term was made up by a woman in the
| original "expose".
|
| Is there crooked doctors and dumb husbands? Sure. But it's not
| some world wide conspiracy against women.

| Appears that its use really took off with the story, but was

| Your first sentence indicates that you (correctly) think there
| _is_ a world-wide conspiracy against women, it 's just not as
| prevelant in some locations and recent history.
|
| I'm amazed (and strangely optimistic) about the fact that
| people could assume this is a myth. Optimistic in that it
| suggests that they've grown up in a better world, just as
| people would be amazed if you told them when it became legal to
| marry outside your race, or illegal to be denied bank account
| based on being a woman, etc. I'd prefer they were both appalled
| and informed, but if we're only going to get one then appalled
| is better.
