       Ask HN: How do I get out of kdb+/q (and other niches)
        
       Hi HN.  I have worked as a kdb+/q developer for 3 years now. I
       enjoy the language and the money is good, but I hate working in
       finance.  I was wondering if anyone had any experience getting out
       of an odd niche into general SWE?  Maybe you were a COBOL / Fortran
       / Common Lisp dev and you managed to transition to Python / Java.
       Any and all advice would be much appreciated!
