| Who even has Pi 4s in stock in USA? Last I checked everyone was

| I wasn't able to find anywhere to buy just the board, but
| starter kits with sd card/power adapter/hdmi/etc are available
| on Amazon for ~100 USD as of this past Thursday.

| 8GB kits run about $120 at Bestbuy for Canakit and Walmart
| resellers are about $115 for a no name kit. If you are lucky,
| you can buy 1 at a time from Chicagodist as a single board
| for $75.

| Ooh, this is interesting. I've not bought any pi 4's yet because
| I don't want moving parts on them. If this means passive

| I've had a good experience with using a passive heatsink case
| on my Pi 4s. It's not lightweight, but there's a lot of thermal
| mass and plenty of surface area for cooling.

| I've got one sitting here driving some animations in chromium
| on a spare display, currently running with a load average of
| 1.1 (so not working flat out on all cores, but doing a moderate
| amount of work). CPU temp is 49C, and the case/heatsink is just
| pleasantly warm to the touch.

| Passive has been practical for a while with the Argon or Flirc
