       | A NM vs GM. There is 300p difference in rating between them. Of
       | curse a GM can have a bad day, and the NM a good day. I'm not
       | saying the win wasn't fair and a great win, but there is nothing
       | spectacular about this video. The NM got a nice rating bonus for
       | beating a highly rated player, but all in all, why is this on
       | hacker news?

         | Thank you for the compliment. I posted this on HN to see if
         | there is any interest in short chess videos and to get some
         | feedback for future videos.

       | "winning against a grandmaster" although they played 1+0 which
       | favours lower rated players much higher than any other
       | timeformat. still an impressive feat to score that high.
       |
       | the explanation literally takes twice as long as the actual game
       | they played, its insane how large the information processing
       | speed can be in humans.

         | Good catch, that's definitely a different story; I myself have
         | beaten titled players multiple times at bullet even though I'm
         | completely trash at chess. One-minute in particular is
         | basically a chess-themed video game.
         |
         | The author seems competent and is a titled player himself,
         | though.

       | Here is a short video explaining the strategies that I used in a
       | chess game to win against a Grandmaster.
