In a statement released on Tamiya's official Facebook page, the company expressed deepest gratitude for the support shown during Tamiya's lifetime. [INS: Advertisement :INS] They confirmed that his funeral was held privately, in accordance with his wishes. A farewell gathering is planned at a later date, with details to be announced. Tamiya was instrumental in shaping the global popularity of the company's scale models and RC kits.
