Welcome to the all singing, all dancing 2024 releases list. We had a
HUGE!! long list of games released in 2023. In fact, it was the
longest list of new releases Ever! (or at least since we started
making these lists in 2012). So this proves there are just as many
people out there making games as there ever was, and that the Amiga
scene; instead of slowing down; is actually becoming more popular -
with the Mini etc.

The Amiga is so versatile that anyone (yes, even me!) can code a game
which is fun, and there are so many ways to enjoy the development
(and the head scratching) involved with making a game these days,
that everyone can be involved.

Thanks everyone for sending in your discoveries! I would not be able
to make this list each year without the flood of reports. As always,
thanks to the incredible Mitch and Mailman, and everyone who sends in
their news.

It says on the itch that the game was released today, maybe the final
general release. I know often backers get things in advance, and
magazines etc. The maker also made a thread on here today.

The one in WhatIFF is the Xmas Spheroid levels. And the normal game
isn't finished yet, More news from Andy when I get it. :)

Just to mention, I've added a new section to the list this year, for
playable prototype games. Here, at Lemon Amiga, we generally only
place full games on the list, because they are finished, and unlikely
to change in the future. Lemon isn't really the place for demos, but
I think there are so many demo games released for Game Jams each year
that there needs to be at least a place for them.

I also edited the 2023 list of games, and moved Boom to the Prototype
section. My latest demo Monkey Eye is now also added to the 2023
Prototypes list, as otherwise there would be nowhere to put it.

Not sure how many of the prototype games will make it as far as a
full entry on the database, but at least if they are on the list,
people can see them.

With that in mind, and in case anyone thought I never contribute to
the news on this thread, I'll kick off the prototype games section
with one of mine:

Jari-Matti Rally Released!

A one level CDTV style OCS FMV rally game, with real-time reaction
action.

The game idea is as finished as I want to take it, so consider it
abandoned. The timings of the game depend on a number of factors, and
too many inputs on the controller actually seems to shorten the
timings, to the point where they happen before the corners. So please
be gentle with my prototype.
