About the role

About Us

  * DraftAid is the world's first generative AI for CAD schematic
    drawings. Think Github Copilot for 2D manufacturing drawings.
  * Mechanical engineers and designers spend 40% of their time
    creating production drawings from their 3D models. It's a tedious
    process, error-prone, and often delays projects by weeks!
    DraftAid generates detailed drawings with a single click. This
    allows engineers and designers working on anything from
    automotive parts to skyscrapers to turn weeks of work into
    minutes. With DraftAid, designers can model, and leave the
    drawings to AI!
  * We are hiring a founding engineer experienced in building out AI/
    ML systems.

Responsibilities

  * Lead the development and implementation of our core technology
    stack, including AI/ML algorithms, full-stack software
    development, and integration with CAD tools.
  * Collaborate with the founding team to define the technical
    roadmap and set priorities that align with our business goals.
  * Build advanced AI techniques and ML models to solve complex
    problems in design and manufacturing.
  * Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from
    concept through deployment and support.
  * Explore and integrate new technologies and methodologies to keep
    our solutions at the forefront of innovation.

Requirements

  * Proven experience in ML engineering, with a strong portfolio of
    projects that demonstrate expertise.
  * Extensive full-stack software development experience.
  * Solid understanding of graph-based algorithms and
    state-of-the-art ML models.
  * Exposure to CAD tools and technologies.
  * Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability
    to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  * Experience in a founding or early-stage startup environment.
  * Contributions to open-source projects or a strong presence in the
    tech community.
  * Familiarity with agile development methodologies and best
    practices in software engineering.
  * Demonstrated experience interacting with CAD programs through
    APIs, showcasing the ability to integrate and manipulate CAD
    systems programmatically.
