A predicted quasicrystal is based on the 'einstein' tile known as the
hat

The theoretical material is similar to graphene, but it isn't a
regular crystal

An animation shows a hat tiling pattern with electrons becoming
localized around mirror-image hats as the magnetic field is
increased.

In this animation, a simulated material based on the hat tile shows
electrons becoming trapped as the magnetic field is increased.
(Warmer colors indicate a higher probability to find an electron with
zero energy in a given location.) Electrons get trapped around the
tiles that are mirror-images of the hat.
