Software developers and businesses then use Seam's API to connect devices with their applications and orchestrate their use. This lets them unlock doors for Airbnb guests or FedEx drivers, set thermostat temperatures to save energy and measure carbon emissions, and more. The company was founded by early engineers from Nest, Github, Sonder, and Google. Based in San Francisco, Seam is backed by Tiger Global, Root Ventures, YC, and founders/execs from companies like Stripe, Plaid, Flexport, Airbnb, and many others. About the Role We are looking for a founding product manager with both technical and business chops. Prior API company experience is a strong plus, but not a hard requirement. However, ability to understand technical requirement and code is a must. In this role, you will be tasked with doing deep dive into specific business verticals that Seam can enter, and then research device categories that Seam should support. You will then develop and lead the strategy for adding those device integrations. You will also have responsibility for our developer and operator facing products (dashboard, developer console...etc) as well as one off specialty projects. *This role is San Francisco based. We are not looking for remote candidates at the moment. Qualifications: * 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in the API industry or related field * Strong technical background and understanding of software development processes * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making Preferred Qualifications: * Prior experience working at growth stage private companies * You're excited to work in spaces that don't have obvious answers About Seam Seam is an API for controlling a wide range of IoT devices.
