You may throw (ask) a question whenever you like, and you may also go to the catcher section to respond to other users' questions that have been assigned to you. It's all about what you need and feel like at any point in time, you are in control. Why would I pay for this? You may wonder why you would pay for feedback on the internet when you can go elsewhere inside or outside the internet and get it for free. Throw(tm) was conceived with the mission to be a place for authenticity. And relying on the tricky advertising model is contrary to our beliefs. So, we decided to adopt a transparent business model where you pay exactly for what you get. And most importantly, a significant part of the cost of the services goes to the people providing the feedback. Kind of like you would pay your Uber driver to take you somewhere and you would not expect him to drive you for free. Every person that answers a question gets a significant part of the profit made from the question asked. You're paying to be able to use other people's time and other people's minds. What is the price? Each situation requires a different number of answers. So, you will be charged a fixed flat fee for each response you request. You pay exactly for what you get. The actual price per response may vary from time to time and you can check it out by downloading our mobile app. I haven't received the number of answers that I requested, can I get a partial refund? We will only charge for completed answers so in case your throw doesn't get the number of answers you requested, we will give you a refund for those missing answers. sCORE What is the "score" and what is it for? Our main objective is to provide value to our users by creating a space that fosters and nurtures positive, honest and unbiased content. For this, we have created a mechanism that allows us to promote and reward users that are more aligned with this vision and demote users that go against it. A few days after joining, every user will be assigned a score that reflects how good of a job they are doing based on a series of attributes that we consider important in this vision. This score will constantly be updated based on each user's behavior. What effect will each user's score have in their experience? People with a higher score will get questions assigned with higher priority than people with lower scores. Also, compensation is determined on a variable basis based on each user score. The higher the score the more that user will earn per question they answer. How can I improve my score? By: * being more active (throwing more or answering more throws) * improving the content and quality of your answers o getting more people to like your answers o try to avoid having your content tagged as negative o avoid having any of your answers reported for either offensive or bad quality content * Avoid passing on catches or leaving catches unanswered * Boosting! It counts just as likes on your answers Cash and payouts How much compensation do I receive for each answer I give? The compensation you get for each response is a variable fee determined based on your score at that particular time. The better your score the more you will earn. If you are an active user with a good score, you may make some decent cash an hour. Is there a minimum or a maximum amount for withdrawing my balance as a payout? There is a minimum as there is a third-party processing fee to send the funds to your bank account but any figure over that amount is ok. However, we do encourage users to accumulate and make these transactions as large as possible for this third-party fee to affect your funds as least as possible and get the most of it to your bank account. When will I receive my payout? We process most of the third-party transactions at the end of the month so you may expect the funds in your account within the first few days of the next month. Technical How many questions can I throw per day? As many as you like. There is no limit! How many questions can I answer per day? As many as you like as there is no limitation. You will get questions assigned to you in your catch page as throws (questions) are made throughout the day. However, there is a rating system. The better score you have the more questions you get to answer and the more money you can make! What is the "warm up" indicator? In order to start receiving a cash compensation for your answers there are an initial 5 answers that you must give. From the 6^th response and on you will be paid each time you respond. Have in mind that this Warmup indicator resets after 24 hours of response inactivity. What is the "streak" indicator? If you remain active and your "warm up" is not reset each new day, you will receive a "streak" badge. This will allow you to avoid the warmup for as long as you keep your streaks going. We are also working on more benefits to users that are on a streak in the future. How can I receive more questions? By increasing your score! We favor users with higher scores and assign them questions in that order. Make sure you have your notifications on so that we may let you know when there are questions available to answer. The more questions you answer, the higher your score, and the more money you can make! Can I edit my question once I have launched a Throw? Yes, you will have 1 minute to make changes to your throw. After that it will not be possible as it will already be sent to the respondents. Moderation What if I get negative, offensive or trash (gibberish) answers? We have a robust moderation protocol as well as a very strict policy for this. If this happens, all you must do is tag it as negative content or report it as offensive or trash (gibberish) content; in the case of offensive or trash (gibberish) content we'll dig into it, and if you're right, we will penalize the offender as well as reimburse the cost of that response. In what cases and how can I report someone? One of the main goals we have is to create a safe environment of valuable, positive, respectful, diverse, honest, and unbiased feedback. And for this we must neutralize any person that provides malicious, disrespectful, and offensive content as well as content that is unrelated (ex: copy paste from another topic) or bad quality (ex: gibberish text). We must also discourage negative or hater vibes and for this as there is a like or positive content button there is a negative content button. In summary, Immediately report any content that is either offensive or bad quality, the users that are found guilty of this will be given a few warnings before being banned, they will also be fined and their score will be drastically affected (so they will have less opportunities to answer more questions). Tag as negative any content you feel has a negative vibe. Be mindful and do not try to abuse the system as untruthful reports will have an effect on the user that triggered it. Who decides if the content is offensive or bad quality? Whenever a report is filed, the case is immediately processed and sent to a number of catchers acting as a jury who will determine if the content is in fact offensive or of bad quality in a majority vote basis. So, normal people just like you; with no bias on the quarrel will decide this. As a catcher, you may receive this kind of question from time to time. You will also receive compensation for participating in this jury. What kind of answers will be the most valued? For many questions there may not exist one perfect answer, there may be many valuable different points of view. However, what is valuable in giving feedback is adding value and helping the person who is looking for an answer. With this said, the most valued answer is the one that gets the user that requested it to hit the like button on your response. How does getting reported affect me? If the report that was made against you determines you as guilty, you will need to pay for the investigation that was made. This is the equivalent of a 10-response throw at the unit price of that given time. So, if the cost per response price is $0.30 the total fine would be $3. But that doesn't end there. Depending on the category of the report (bad quality content or offensive content) you will get a number of warnings. These warnings significantly affect your score and if you get more than a total of 4 warnings, you will immediately be banned from the platform. We encourage users to take this seriously and to try to be the best version of themselves as warnings are permanent and banned accounts will not be reinstated. Security & Privacy Is my personal data safe? Of course! We maintain the highest encryption and safety protocols to protect our users' data. On the other hand, we do not disclose or sell any of your data to any third party. So, you may feel at ease knowing that your data is contained and safe. As a platform made for the community, we want to avoid using shady principles that have been adopted by most social media companies which profit from preying on their users and selling their data, we prioritize our users first. This means we are not selling your personal data. I'm worried about my privacy; how many people will see my questions? The people that will see what you share are the respondents in the case you ask something or the person that asked something in the case you respond to a question. Additionally, more respondents may see the contents in the case the content is reported, and an investigation takes place. Even though your profile is anonymous and when you ask a question, people will have no way of tracing it to you, you should be careful with sensitive data or information you would not want other people to see. Just as respondents won't know who you are and can't trace you; you will not know who they are and won't be able to trace them. Feel free to share personal feelings and situations as it may not be traced back to you but be wary of sharing your identity or any sensitive information like credit cards, addresses, phone numbers, etc. Can I delete my account?
