Closed captions are cool now. Just ask anyone under 40.

More viewers, especially younger ones, are using tools that
transcribe dialogue in the content they're watching online, from
Netflix movies to TikTok videos. This isn't just about watching
"Squid Game" drama in Korean with English subtitles.
