  * 5th Aug 2022 - Two new bugfix releases: 3.0.3 and, for those
    still playing 2.6, 2.6.7 release.
  * 13th Jun 2022 - 3.0.2 is a generic bugfix release in the stable
    3.0 series.
  * 29th May 2022 - There's going to be main freeciv.org server
    downtime Friday 3rd June - Sunday 5th June. Services affected are
    forum.freeciv.org, files.freeciv.org, and the main homepage at
    www.freeciv.org.
  * 14th Apr 2022 - 3.0.1 is a generic bugfix release in the stable
    3.0 series.
  * 18th Feb 2022 - Freeciv 3.0.0 has been released. NEWS-3.0.0
    describes what's changed since 2.6.x.
    (The previous stable release, 2.6.6, is still available from the
    Old downloads page.)
  * 09th Feb 2022 - The second release candidate for Freeciv 3.0.0
    has been released.
  * 04th Feb 2022 - The first release candidate for Freeciv 3.0.0 has
    been released.
  * 10th Dec 2021 - 2.6.6 is a generic bugfix release in the stable
    2.6 series.
  * 08th Oct 2021 - 3.0.0-beta3 is the third and final beta release
    of the freeciv-3.0 series.
  * 26th Jun 2021 - 2.6.5 is a generic bugfix release in the stable
    2.6 series.
  * 14th May 2021 - 3.0.0-beta2 is the second beta release of the
    freeciv-3.0 series.
  * 01st Apr 2021 - 2.6.4 is a generic bugfix release in the stable
    2.6 series.
  * 19th Mar 2021 - 3.0.0-beta1 is the first beta release of the new
    freeciv-3.0 series.
  * 31st Dec 2020 - 2.6.3 is a generic bugfix release in the stable
    2.6 series.
  * 27th Nov 2020 - 2.6.2.1 is a bugfix release in the stable 2.6
    series, fixing critical build failures and crash bugs.
  * 15th Feb 2020 - 2.6.2 is a bugfix release in the stable 2.6
    series, mainly improving the clients.
  * 18th Dec 2019 - Two new bugfix releases of Freeciv: 2.6.1 and,
    for those still playing 2.5, a final 2.5.12 release.
