Abstract

We think of climate change being about carbon dioxide and the burning
of fossil fuels, and that if we achieve net zero for carbon then all
our problems are solved...this is not true.

Carbon dioxide of course is important, but even if we achieve net
zero by the end of the decade (which is impossible) atmospheric
carbon dioxide concentrations will still pass 500ppm, and a
measurement of Ocean water quality called pH will drop to pH7.95 by
2045, and most marine life in our oceans dissolve. This is referred
to as Ocean Acidification or the Evil Twin of climate change, Evil
because it is far more serious than climate change!
