What sites, apps, and services does this work with?

Vessel helps you explore the internet through connected sites, or
sites that are enabled with Vessel that you choose to share your
passport with. You always have control over what sites you add to
your connected sites list and you can always add or remove sites that
you trust.

For Web3 sites, Vessel is currently supported on all sites that
require a wallet to connect. Learn more about how to connect to Web3
sites if you don't see Vessel as an option.

What details am I sharing with other sites?

Depending on what other sites need to know about you, you can share
that information using your passport. Vessel believes you control
your data and therefore will always make sure to highlight what
information connected sites need and why. With other wallets, users
have to connect all of their information to use the site so site
owners can see all of their crypto history. With Vessel, you'd be
able to navigate any site and log in without having to share any of
your wallet data. You will never give more information than you
consent to and Vessel will help you understand if any of that
information will be stored past that use. Learn more.

How does this work with other password extensions?

Vessel believes in a future where you don't need password storage
browser extensions. We hope to make your Vessel password the last one
you ever need to remember. Once you have your Vessel passport, you
can use it to explore the internet without creating and managing new
passwords for every site. We're still building the future, so while
not every site supports Vessel today, we're rapidly building a world
where you'll no longer need so many passwords. Learn more about how

Why do I need an email, a password and a pin?

With Vessel, the ultimate goal is to eliminate the need for
remembering account information as you travel the internet. However,
we have to account for the secure authentication into your wallet
that helps us get to that future. Vessel requires these details right
now in order to solve the two biggest user experience issues with
current Web3 wallets: seed phrases and non-portable logins. Vessel
uses common Web2 patterns (an email, password & a PIN) to meet you
where you are while using this info to generate a non-custodial
private key to authenticate you in the future internet. Learn more
