FAQ

  * Q: Why is the widget not updating? show
    A:
      + The widget updates about once every minute. This is a
        limitation imposed by Apple.
  * Q: Why can't I see my iPhone/iPad in the Batteries widget? show
    A: Plug in your device, and make sure that Wi-Fi sync is enabled
    in iTunes (macOS Mojave) or "Show this device when on Wi-Fi" in
    Finder (macOS Catalina and later), and that your devices are on
    the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. Show this device when on
    Wi-Fi in Finder
  * Q: Why can't I see my Apple Watch battery level? show
    A: Plug in the iPhone that's synced with your watch to your Mac,
    and wait until a "Trust this computer?" dialog appears on your
    Apple Watch, and then tap on "Trust". Can't trust your Mac from
    your Apple Watch? See this thread.

    Note: To save battery power, updates from your Apple Watch are
    infrequent compared to e.g. your iPhone/iPad.
  * Q: Can I see my Apple Pencil/Apple Smart Case battery levels? 
    show
    A: Since these devices can't pair with your Mac, unfortunately
    that's not possible.
  * Q: Why are some devices (e.g. Logitech keyboard) not showing
    their battery level? show
    A: With its current bluetooth stack, your Mac cannot get battery
    info from these devices. To verify, check that the battery
    percentage doesn't appear in System Preferences - Bluetooth.
  * Q: How many activations can I do per license? show
    A: Each license for "Batteries for Mac" can be used on 3
    computers.
  * Q: Why am I not seeing low battery notifications? show
    A: Make sure that notifications are enabled in System Preferences
    - Notifications, and your per-device notification setting is set
    to enabled in the Batteries app.

    If you still can't see notifications, please Contact support.
  * Q: Why can't I see my device batteries in the Touch Bar? show
    A: Make sure that the Batteries Helper (/Applications/
    Batteries.app/Contents/Library/LoginItems/
    KUC6B4JW25.io.fadel.BatteriesHelper.app) is included in System
    Preferences - Security & Privacy - Privacy - Input Monitoring:

Requirements

  * macOS 10.14 Mojave or later.
  * To see the battery level of your iPhone, iPad or iPod you'll need
    to do this (only once):
      + Plug your device in.
      + Enable "Show this device when on Wi-Fi" in Finder (Catalina
        and later), or Enable Wi-Fi sync in iTunes (Mojave).
      + Be on the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
