I am an ardent upgrader. My belief is the select few that I deal with (Debian, Nextcloud) are serious and I stand with their recommendations. A two Nextcloud revisions ago my ability to edit .odt and .docx (.xlsx, etc.) evaporated. Curiously, I could occasionally edit documents if I was browsing from the physical Nextcloud server, never from my main $DRIVER. I poured through the Settings, every thing looked the same, yet it complained of oversized file limits - all very cryptic. Rev'ed Nextcloud to 30.0.5 and started to review settings. When I got to Nextcloud Office the "User your own server" option was checked. When I chose the "Use the built-in CODE..." it allows me to once again edit complex documents. While this may seem like a good arguement for not upgrading as soon as possible, I do not lay the blame solely there. If, in my duties, I was not as thorough I might have missed/ overlooked/ ignore.the.possibility of an incorrect setting. One way or anther, this constitutes a significant win for me as I can again use the full functionality of Nextcloud Office. -*-
