Christmas is over. All the family that could gather did so last night, a party of six. As usual it was an obligatory social event with everyone on their best holiday behavior. (Sorta like Xmas&Easter Believers.) For a myriad of reasons food is one the trigger points for me (and I believe for my SO as well) that adds significant stress and anxiety to the festive holiday spirit. All of which causes an immediate loss of appetite. But that was last night. Obligations have been met. For our Eldest, all of the packages have been sent. (Sure wish she would Fly. Insists on driving. Her car has over 400K. Now ~1400+ miles is too much of a risk. Alas...) And while on the subject of obligatory visits. Neither my SO nor I really feel like a 'People' until 0830-0900. Which for personal reasons happens in the privacy of my/our space. Slow to wake and Long Showers. Not particularly conducive to a house hold that is up and fully functional at 0600. More stress and aingst. IMPORTANT NOTE: The onus of responsibility falls squarely on my shoulders in these matters. I am becoming my inner crumudgeon. B, my SO, just filled the house with the scent of home-made Chex Mix. Back in the day we used to call in Nuts & Bolts (Cheerios and very thin pretzel sticks, along with all the rest of the Chex flavors. So, Christmas is officially over. You are now free to walk about the aircraft Earth. Please celebrate accordingly.
