THE RUNAWAYS
The Walnut and the Cobnut run
As hard as they can go;
But Mr. Cracker’s legs are long,
And nuts are rather slow.
He’ll catch and crack them very soon,
But cracking doesn’t hurt;
So p’raps we’ll eat their kernels,
With an orange, for dessert.
