J. M. Waite was a Pupil and subsequently an Assistant of the late M. Prevost, who was formerly Professor of Fencing to the Ecole Polytechnique and the Garde du Corps, also Fencing-Master to H.R.H. the Prince of Wales and to their Royal Highnesses the Comte de Paris, the Duc de Chartres, the Duc d’Aumale, the Duc de Pentievre, &c.
