THESE things have I written unto you that believe upon the name of the Son of God; THAT YE MAY KNOW that ye have eternal life.
I John 5:13.
Thus the word of God assures us of salvation, and we may know we are saved because God says so.
SEARCH the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
John 5:39.
No matter where we open the Bible we may learn about the Saviour.
FOR whatsover is BORN OF GOD overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
I John 5:4.
He who has God’s life in him, is the one who has victory.
IF ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is BORN OF HIM.
I John 2:29.
WHOSOEVER is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he can not sin, because he is born of God.
I John 3:9.
This means that the new nature “His seed” cannot sin, though the old nature does.
WE know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother, abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer; and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
I John 3:14-15.
The fact that we find ourselves loving God’s people and having fellowship with them, is one of the most simple proofs that we are born of God.
