If you are cold and indifferent, and fallen into sin, you will never be truly happy, or have peace in your soul, until you confess your sins and return to the Lord, because God says,
THE backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways.
Proverbs 14:14.
God says though man’s ways are not His ways, (Isaiah 55:8) there is hope for the backslider—Think of the story of the Prodigal Son and how the Father welcomed his boy home!
BUT when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Luke 15:20.
