One of the proofs that Christ is the Son of God, is the fact that we have several titles applied to Christ in the New Testament that are applied to Jehovah in the Old Testament.
THE word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (He is Lord of all).
Acts 10:36.
BUT we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
I Corinthians 2:7—8.
AND Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. . . . But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
John 20:28-29, 31.
WHOSOEVER believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. . . . Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
I John 5:1, 5.
WHO is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-christ, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
