Office Connect Remote Dual Analog
Router Code V2.1.1
Boot Code V1.0.4
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the first version of code that we shipped. Normally, you wouldn't
need to update this software unless you have pre-production hardware or are
encountering problems due to a corrupt file system on your Dual Analog.

To use the main router code V2.1.1, you should ensure that you running version
1.0.4 of the boot code. The very first thing you see on the console port when
you boot would be this:

     Booting the 3COM OfficeConnect Remote
     -- VERSION V1.0.4

If you have any other version, it is recommended you upgrade or downgrade to
version 1.0.4 before changeing to V2.1.1 router code. Boot code should be
available from the same source you got this router code from. All shipping
units will have V1.0.4 installed at the factory.

Router code may be updated from the HTML interface providing you have a
compatible browser or one with the proper plug-in. From the main HTML menu,
choose COMMANDS and then SOFTWARE UPDATE. Follow the on-screen instructions
from there.

An alternate method of updating is provided. You can run the update procedure
with the included PCSDL.EXE program. This utility takes a large number of
command line arguments, so a batch file DL.BAT (or DLBOOT.BAT) is included to
make things easier.

Running DL.BAT without any arguments will display some basic instructions. On
most systems, all you need to do is type "DL 1" (for COM1) or "DL 2"
(for COM2) and then apply power to the unit.

If you run into problems with the PCSDL procedure, first try lowering the
speed. You can not download any slower than 19200. Next, try disabling the
FIFO manually. If you still can not download at 19200 and no FIFO, you will
need to call the service department.

Updating boot code is only possible with the PCSDL procedure. There is no
reason to update the boot code unless you need to change versions. It is
strongly recommended you not attempt a boot code download unless you need
to change versions. The batch file included with the boot code is DLBOOT.BAT
and it functions exactly the same as router code's DL.BAT.
