The reigning Olympic and world champion from Richmond, B.C., posted a winning throw in the third round of 79.36 metres at Texas A&M University in College Station. Rachel Richeson of the United States was second at 79.33 metres ahead of China's Jie Zhao in third at 76.25. Rogers was coming off a victory Wednesday at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland, where she surpassed the 80-metre mark for the third time this season. The 26-year-old hasn't lost a competition since June 3, 2025. The Lone Star Grand Prix is one of two World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meets in the U.S. this season alongside the Los Angeles Grand Prix on June 14. De Grasses finishes 2nd in 100m In other Canadian results, sprint star Andre De Grasse finished second in the men's 100m behind American Trayvon Bromell, who beat the Markham, Ont., native by 0.06 seconds with a time of 9.85. Reigning world champion Oblique Seville of Jamaica finished just after De Grasse in third place 9.91.
